The first meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of Ministry of Steel for the year 2010 after its re-constitution was held under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Union Minister of Steel, Shri Virbhadra Singh at Ashoka Hotel on 29th November, 2010. The meeting was attended by Shri Ramchandra Khuntiya, a member of the Rajya Sabha, Shri Sunil Bajaj, Shri Sitaram Shastri, Dr Ramesh Nirmal, Shri Ratan Singh Dahiya, Shri Gopal Krishna Faraliya, Shri Sanjay Sharma and Dr Rajesh Kumar Chaudhari other than CMDs, Directors, and senior officers of all Public Sector Undertakings falling under the administrative control of Ministry of Steel.
Laying emphasis on promoting use of Hindi in the era globalization, the meeting took stock of progressive implementation of Rajbhasha in the concerned PSUs. Hon’ble Union Minister of Steel, Shri Virbhadra Singh stressed upon the inclusion of respective vernacular languages by offices situated in different regions, besides using Hindi and English in their day-to-day official work. He also appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry and PSUs in encouraging the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in various ways
